Hello
Today we are going to Muse about self-portraits. If this is your first visit, welcome to Musings. If you have been here before, welcome back. Over time we are going to talk about many things: the past, the present, perhaps the future, travel, art, society and more. Wherever my musing takes me. I hope you will come along with me.
The Figure
You will have to indulge me as I engage in a little tooting of my own horn. Over the years I have produced paintings of a wide variety of subjects executed in many styles. But, for the most part I have been drawn to the figure, the figure as a study or as part of a larger composition.

There is one subject that over the years I have returned to many times: ME. The model is always available. I thought I would show you a progression. Here goes:
On a Different Note
I would like to introduce you to my neighbor. The other day I was walking my dog and this fellow appeared:
I didn’t have a camera with me and he headed off into the bushes. The next day he appeared again which is when I took the photo. He just stood and watched me walk by. He seems to be comfortable in the neighborhood.
